Stig Ødegaard and Jon Warset established Bonaventura in 2006. Bonaventura means giving someone a good journey and it’s also the name of the father of one of the founders. Marek Bonaventura was a Polish refugee, who came to Norway in his 60s with one goal in mind – to build a bright future, with good friends and a big family. We have built our company on these values:

Our first year of operation was 2007, with a small group of 20 employees who set out to disprove that it wasn’t possible to build a new company in the overripe grocery and perfumery retail trade. This was thoroughly refuted and we are proud of that, but not so proud that we aren’t hungry for more. It is important that passion permeates the organization. Every day we set new big targets, and every day we have a passionate desire to reach them. This is why we have been one of the fastest growing suppliers in Norway in our industry year after year.
